Miguel Leija was born and raised in Milwaukee to immigrant parents, an experience that deeply influenced his values and perspective. Growing up in a bilingual, first‑generation household gave him a strong appreciation for resilience, cultural identity, and the shared humanity that connects people across communities.

Miguel’s professional background includes extensive work in nonprofit organizations and serving as a case manager for the State of Wisconsin. These roles strengthened his belief in the power of advocacy, storytelling, and compassionate guidance; values he now brings to his work in immigration law.

Beyond his professional work, Miguel remains engaged in exploring culture, community, and personal growth through art, music, and meditation. He enjoys spending time outdoors, journaling, competing in sports, and sharing good coffee and good company with loved ones.
