Wendy Backini

Wendy is a first-generation Mexican-American who was raised predominantly in Gurnee, Illinois. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, she values her cultural heritage and acknowledges the significant sacrifices her parents made to provide greater opportunities for their children. Motivated by a strong commitment to community service and with the support of her husband and daughter, Wendy pursued a career in legal studies.
She received an Associate’s Degree and a Paralegal Certificate from the College of Lake County. After completing the A.B.A-approved paralegal studies program, she took the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam® and obtained the CRP® credential. Currently, Wendy is a CORE Registered Paralegal with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.
Prior to joining SIL, she completed an internship at a family law firm, where she subsequently started her paralegal career. Wendy has since made Kenosha, Wisconsin her home. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
