From CLINIC: Updated COVID-19 Testing Requirement for Travel to the United States

Beginning on Dec. 6, all travelers age two or older, regardless of nationality or vaccination status, entering the United States via air will be required to show documentation of a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within one day of the flight’s departure to the United States. The new Center for Disease Control guidance affects all travelers, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and foreign nationals.

Individuals who have recently recovered from COVID-19 will be required to provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days before they board their flight. This documentation must include a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or public health official stating that the individual is cleared for travel, as well as a positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country.
